CPCCWHS1001 — PREPARE TO WORK SAFELY IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY

WHS General Induction for Construction is also known as White Card Training.      

Current Work Health and Safety (WHS) Legislation requires all employees that either work in the construction industry or enter any building or construction-site are to be trained in WHS in the workplace.

Upon successful completion of the course you will be issued with a SafeWork NSW  ‘Statement of Training’ certificate, which allows you to work in the construction industry immediately. Within a period of four weeks following face-to-face training and assessment, SafeWork NSW will send you a NSW ‘Whitecard’ physical card.

  • Delivery Time: 7.5 hours classroom training and assessment on-site, or at our training facilities at Dapto.

WHS Legislation in the Workplace aims to improve overall safety outcomes.

Risk management is a process that involves identifying hazards/risks, notifying others, controlling the hazards and risks and monitoring the controls.

Incidents, Emergencies and Workers Compensation

An understanding of what constitutes an emergency and how to respond to one is a crucial part of safety in the workplace.

  • An emergency can be considered as something that requires immediate attention (fire, gas leak, etc)

Students who successfully complete this Nationally Recognised Training will be awarded the Statement of Attainment for:

  • CPCCWHS1001 — Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
  • Students will also receive a SafeWork NSW Statement of Training (SOT) which allows you to work in the construction industry immediately whilst waiting for SafeWork NSW to issue a NSW Work Safely in the construction industry card

  • 100 Points of ID from the Evidence of Identity form Information Sheet must be brought in on the day of training. At least one form of ID MUST BE photo type ID such as RMS drivers licence, proof of age card or current passport AND proof of current NSW address.
  • A thorough understanding of both written and spoken English.
  • All student MUST provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number.

The Australian Skills and Qualification Authority (ASQA) requires that students be aware of their rights and responsibilities once they have selected their training provider. Your rights and responsibilities can be found in our Student Agreement that should be read BEFORE enrolling into any of our courses.
